Our client manufactures essential electrical equipment for diverse industries globally, and they want you to join their team as a Lead Unit Design Engineer!

Your day-to-day as a Lead Unit Design Engineer:

• Oversee all engineering and mechanical design for new units, ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Lead a team of engineers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of design milestones
• Perform and review calculations, analysis, and testing for product validation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality, manufacturing, and supply chain, to streamline processes and resolve issues

Your skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) and 5–10 years of mechanical design experience with rotating equipment (pumps preferred)
• Proven leadership, problem-solving, and mentoring abilities in R&D or engineering projects with direct reports
• Strong proficiency with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code (Section III or VIII required; Section III Div. 5 a plus)
• Experience reading/interpreting engineering drawings, ASME Y14.5, and technical contract specifications
• Expertise in Solid Works, Math Cad, and standard engineering software; ANSYS or CFTurbo experience preferred
