The Specialty Pharmacy Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) is responsible to provide full integrated support to patients, pharmacists and clinic staff by providing full continuum of specialty medication services. Specialty Pharmacy PCCs are result-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality patient care and service. This position requires a high level of detail orientation and strong administrative/organizational skills.
ResponsibilitiesThe Specialty Pharmacy Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) provides comprehensive support to patients, pharmacists, and clinic staff, delivering continuous specialty medication services and ensuring high-quality patient care and service. The role requires attention to detail, strong administrative and organizational abilities, and on-site presence.
QualificationsEducation
High School / GED plus one year of post high school education or related work experience.
Certifications
Pharmacy Technician National Certification through PTCB or NHA required.
Licenses
Vermont Board of Pharmacy Technician License required.
Specialty Pharmacy Patient Care Coordinators will maintain their Pharmacy Technician Registration/License with the State of Vermont Board of Pharmacy as well as their National Certification in good standing.
Experience
One year technician experience as a Pharmacy Technician or equivalent required. Three to five years preferred. Specialty pharmacy or pre-certification experience strongly encouraged.
