Manufacturing Technician, Snout

Job Summary

As the Manufacturing Technician I, you’ll support production and manufacturing of Hazelett strip casters by operating machinery, assembling products, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Technicians ensure product quality and meet production deadlines.

2nd shift, full time
: 4-night weeks, Monday‑Thursday, 4:00 pm‑2:00 am. 20% shift premium.

• Operate and monitor machinery in the manufacturing process, ensuring machines are functioning correctly and efficiently.
• Use hand tools to achieve finishes or assemble items.
• Assemble products or components following work orders, diagrams, or instructions.
• Load raw materials into machines and handle finished goods, transporting them to designated areas.
• Inspect products for defects, ensuring all meet company standards.
• Report equipment malfunctions to the Team Lead and assist with troubleshooting.
• Follow safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Maintain accurate production records and report discrepancies.
• Work cooperatively with colleagues and management to meet production goals.
• Support routine maintenance of machines and equipment, notifying maintenance staff of any necessary repairs.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred but not required.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment operation.
• Ability to operate manufacturing equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work in varying temperature environments and possibly noisy or dusty conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment.
