Job Summary
As the Manufacturing Technician I, you’ll support production and manufacturing of Hazelett strip casters by operating machinery, assembling products, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Technicians ensure product quality and meet production deadlines.
Schedule2nd shift, full time
: 4-night weeks, Monday‑Thursday, 4:00 pm‑2:00 am. 20% shift premium.
- Operate and monitor machinery in the manufacturing process, ensuring machines are functioning correctly and efficiently.
- Use hand tools to achieve finishes or assemble items.
- Assemble products or components following work orders, diagrams, or instructions.
- Load raw materials into machines and handle finished goods, transporting them to designated areas.
- Inspect products for defects, ensuring all meet company standards.
- Report equipment malfunctions to the Team Lead and assist with troubleshooting.
- Follow safety protocols, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Maintain accurate production records and report discrepancies.
- Work cooperatively with colleagues and management to meet production goals.
- Support routine maintenance of machines and equipment, notifying maintenance staff of any necessary repairs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred but not required.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment operation.
- Ability to operate manufacturing equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work in varying temperature environments and possibly noisy or dusty conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment.
