RN - Hospice

Expected to work Thursday through Sunday, with shifts from 7 AM to 7:30 PM and 8 AM to 4:30 PM on weekdays.

The Hospice Registered Nurse provides comprehensive end-of-life care for terminally ill patients, focusing on symptom management, medication administration, and family education. The role involves working both in a home setting and in an inpatient hospice facility, with an emphasis on compassionate care and effective communication with patients and their families.

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Manage complex symptom relief and provide education on end-of-life care.
• Administer medications via various routes, including IV, subcutaneous, and oral.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to facilitate goals of care discussions.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families dealing with terminal illness.

• A minimum of 3 years of prior community hospice experience.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Strong typing skills for narrative heavy EMR documentation.
• Previous experience with pain management and critical thinking in patient care.
