- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while nurturing existing relationships.
- Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge to clients.
- Directly responsible for all sales within the assigned territory, including but not limited to assigned regional, house accounts and local chains.
- Write customer orders and sales contracts according to company guidelines.
- Listen to and resolve customers’ complaints regarding products or services.
- Call on prospective customers to explain company services or to solicit new business.
- Achieve sales profit standards.
- Propose customer terms based on customer profitability and creditworthiness.
- Maintain sales standards by account.
- Coordinate sales with other departments to work toward a common goal.
- Adhere to sales policies and procedures.
- Maintain liaison relationship between Allegiance Trucks & Trailers and its customers.
- Market development within assigned territory.
- Customer merchandising and program implementation.
- Customer pricing/profitability within corporate guidelines.
- Customer terms within approved guidelines.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- CRM module must be kept up to date, sales activities recorded and fully utilized.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work and learn independently.
- Knowledge of truck specifications.
- Familiarity with accounting and other computer software as needed for dealership operations.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in the trucking/transportation industry.
- While a CDL is not initially required, Allegiance Trucks is willing to assist the right candidate in acquiring one.
- Prior sales experience is preferred, but we welcome individuals with a strong drive to succeed and a willingness to learn.
