Concrete & Formwork Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Manage work on site to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications.
• Plan and implement schedules, determine manpower levels, material quantities, inspections, equipment and requirements.
• Monitor work performance to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are followed.
• Identify and resolve potential problems, work interference, and schedule difficulties.
• Maintain and analyze up-to-date cost reports and submit changes to deliver the project within budget.
• Meet with Owners, Consultants, and Architects in a professional manner, communicating concerns and the company’s best interests.

• Construction-related degree/diploma with 10+ years of construction experience on Special Projects, Institutional, Commercial, and/or Industrial projects, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• Experience with concrete and formwork scopes.
• Experience with self-performed work with a General Contractor is an asset.
• Working knowledge of scheduling, project management, and contract software.
• Ability to identify problems, evaluate causes, and develop workable solutions in a team environment.

• Having a CISD Secret clearance or eligibility is considered an asset.

The Concrete & Formwork Superintendent will oversee on-site construction activities to ensure alignment with project drawings and specifications, while coordinating scheduling, resources, and safety requirements.
