Northern Lights Public Schools invites applications for the following position: S2627-22 Early Childhood Educator
- Care to Learn
- Cold Lake Elementary School We are seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Early Childhood Educator commencing at the start of the  school year. The assignment includes overseeing the day to day operations of the program, ensuring appropriate supervision, smooth transitions, adequate staffing and consistent routines. Preference will be given to applicants who have:
Level 2 or 3 Early Child Care Certificate First Aid Certification Knowledge and experience working in an early childhood or school-aged care setting

Effective interpersonal and relationship building skills

Extensive understanding of child development theories and best practices

Working knowledge of Alberta Childcare Licensing Regulations Familiarity with NLPS program philosophies, policies, and operational procedures

Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities

The Role the Early Childhood Educator may include:

Developing and implementing a high-quality, developmentally appropriate program for children and students to ensure smooth and consistent routines

Upholding the program's philosophy, policies, and procedures in all daily practices

Maintaining confidentiality in all matters involving children, students, families, and staff

Ensuring all children and students are supervised at all times and accounted for during transitions and activities

Providing leadership, guidance, and performance input for the Early Childhood Assistants
