Temporary Educational Assistant

We are hiring a full-time (1.0 FTE) Temporary Educational Assistant for the  school year. This role involves providing support to students in social skills, behavior, and self-help. Candidates should be skilled in implementing behavioral strategies and working with individual program plans to ensure a supportive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with students’ educational program needs

• Implement strategies for improved social and behavioral skills

• Document student progress and maintain records

• Collaborate with teaching staff on individualized learning plans

• Employ alternative communication strategies effectively

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education or training as an Educational Assistant

• Experience in one-on-one and classroom environments

• Knowledge of behavioral strategies and learning styles

• Computer proficiency for record-keeping and documentation

• Must provide a criminal records check including a vulnerable sector check
