Community Peace Officer

Become a vital part of Cold Lake's safety team as a full-time Community Peace Officer. Enforce city bylaws, engage with the community, and maintain public order.

This permanent role with the Community Services Department is essential for ensuring the enforcement of municipal and provincial regulations. As a Community Peace Officer, you'll patrol city limits, address complaints, and process violation tickets. Strong communication and conflict resolution skills are critical for success in this role, alongside ongoing compliance with security clearances and certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce all Municipal and Provincial Bylaws

• Conduct regular patrols within City limits

• Issue warnings and tickets as necessary

• Address community concerns regarding bylaws

• Handle written communication for court documentation

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in law enforcement or criminal justice

• Community Peace Officer Level 1 Appointment

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

• CPR and First Aid certified

• Maintain strong written and verbal communication skills
