Female Shelter Attendant Position

Location: City of Cold Lake

Help transform lives as a Women Shelter Attendant, ensuring safety and support for residents in need. Engage with diverse populations while providing essential resources and emotional assistance.

This position focuses on creating a compassionate, safe environment within the shelter. You will assist residents with personal and emotional needs while facilitating access to essential resources. Critical responsibilities also include crisis intervention, supervising shelter operations, and maintaining documentation of incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with emotional support and daily needs

• Respond to crises with empathy and effective conflict resolution

• Monitor premises for safety and policy adherence

• Conduct safety inspections and manage emergency procedures

• Keep accurate records of resident activities and incidents

Requirements:

• Background in social services or similar positions

• Familiarity with domestic violence and women's health issues

• Recent clear Vulnerable Sector Check required

• Strong communication and empathy skills

• Capacity to complete physical tasks associated with the role
