Job Summary
:
The Courier is responsible for providing transport of supplies, mail, equipment, medications, and/or specimens between the hospital and Insight Coldwater clinics. Couriers may at times transport items to or from other businesses.

• Arrives at work on time and checks voicemails.
• Picks up mail from Post Office and sorts mail.
• Logs into Vocera system as Coldwater Courier.
• Responds to Pharmacy requests to deliver meds to Oncology.
• Responds to requests from Oncology for specimen delivery.
• Responds to requests from Urology to transport scopes.
• Responds to requests from Central Sterile to deliver scopes to Urology.
• Makes rounds to on campus clinics to pick up and/or deliver items.
• Assists Materials Management with delivery of supplies as time allows.
• Responds to requests from Facilities for parts runs.
• Inspects vehicle for damage and ensures it has adequate fuel.
• Picks up and drops off linens, money bags and mail as necessary.
• Delivers O’2 cylinders to clinics – ensures cylinder is properly secured for transport.
• Follows dress code guidelines.

• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills while interacting with others.
• Excellent written communication skills for reporting issues.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Physically fit to handle deliveries and/or pick up of supplies.
• Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

May come in contact with blood or body fluids.
