Apprenticeship Trainer Carpentry

About the Role

Teach your trade and help build futures for the next generation of aspiring Carpenters! We are looking for a Carpentry Apprenticeship Trainer to join our fast growing Carpentry and Joinery provision within EKC Training.

As a Carpentry Trainer, no two days are the same! You'll play a key role in helping learners develop their skills and achieve their qualifications. You'll assess, coach and monitor learners in a range of workplace and training environments, providing the guidance and support they need to successfully complete their programmes on time.

You will build strong relationships with learners through regular reviews, one‑to‑one coaching, drop‑in sessions, and telephone or email support, helping them develop both their practical skills and underpinning knowledge.

You'll also carry out Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) activities where required, ensuring the highest standards of assessment and delivery.

Working closely with employers and their teams, you'll tailor your approach to meet the needs of both the business and its employees, ensuring training is delivered at the right time, in the right way, and has a lasting impact!

You will be an experienced carpenter, ideally with both site, joinery and or furniture manufacturing experience.

You will hold or be willing to work towards Assessor qualifications D32‑D33 or A1 or Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement and have achieved or be willing to work towards Internal Verifier qualification TDLB D34 or V1 or Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.

You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of setting and achieving challenging improvement targets and experience of successfully supporting training and assessing in a variety of contexts.
