Our Sustainability team supports clients in measuring, managing and reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions, and achieving sustainability aims.

We are seeking an experienced Senior or Principal Sustainability Consultant to lead our UK building certification team. You will support business development, strengthen market presence, and promote our sustainability services.

• Lead and manage building certification projects and competitive bids.
• Provide expert technical guidance on BREEAM, WELL and other certification schemes.
• Support clients in setting decarbonisation targets.
• Assist senior colleagues in project delivery.
• Coordinate with clients, project partners and stakeholders.
• Deliver sustainability advice during early design stages.
• Produce concise technical summaries and detailed reports.
• Analyse large datasets and translate findings into robust outputs.
• Mentor junior consultants.
• Oversee internal quality assurance procedures.
• Recommend effective low‑carbon design measures.
• Present findings and outcomes to clients.

• Strong understanding of building design and construction processes.
• Leadership and team development capabilities.
• Deep knowledge of BREEAM, WELL and other environmental performance standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to guide multidisciplinary teams through certification processes.
• Experience preparing tenders and proposals.

• Degree in engineering, architecture, building services or a related discipline.
• Strong grounding in environmental impact assessment and environmental science.
• 5+ years of sustainability consulting experience within the built environment.
• Licensed BREEAM Assessor.
• Proven experience delivering certification projects and leading or mentoring teams.
• Experience integrating low‑carbon and climate‑resilient design solutions.
• Commercial awareness related to business development, marketing and proposal writing.
• Excellent communication skills and proactive problem‑solving abilities.
