What is the job?

In this customer-facing role you will be a key player in enhancing the guest experience and driving brand loyalty. You will manage the guest’s expectations from check-in to check-out and contribute to the day-to-day running of food operations, ensuring rooms are fresh and welcoming for guests after a busy day. You may assist other departments to ensure excellent service is provided to guests.

Up to £12.80, depending on age – must be 18 and over

Your day to dayFood & Beverage
  • Achieve individual and departmental objectives
  • Serve food and beverages to hotel standards
  • Follow the hotel’s food and beverage sequence of service
  • Prepare food, including 24/7 menu options, to high standards
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and hygiene
  • Clear and refresh lobby and restaurant tables (and conference rooms if relevant)
  • Upsell food and drink items including daily specials
  • Ensure cleanliness of all equipment used to serve guests
  • Demonstrate service attributes in line with industry expectations and company standards
  • Attend training sessions and meetings as requested
  • Adopt hotel brand behaviours
Housekeeping
  • Ensure rooms are clean, well-presented and welcoming
  • Assist guests with requests (e.g., toiletries, directions)
  • Keep supervisor updated on room service progress and repairs needed
  • Follow safety procedures and wear protective equipment when required
  • Be organised, manage supplies and minimise waste
  • Log and reunite lost and found items with owners
  • Maintain a smart appearance with uniform and name badge
  • Monitor supplies and minimise waste across housekeeping
  • Report/log all lost and found items per procedures
  • Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required

Required Criteria
  • Compliance with local laws on food handling and alcohol service; minimum age requirement met
  • Experience in a customer service role
  • Basic IT proficiency
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a willingness to help guests and colleagues
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience with in the Hospitality Industry
