Operations Manager
Working in strong collaboration with the Branch Manager, the role of Assistant Branch Manager is to support a high performing team to drive sales and deliver exceptional customer experience. This role is all about delivering sales through people, performance and operational excellence helping colleagues grow, maintaining compliance and safety standards and ensuring the branch consistently deliver strong results.
You’ll play a key role in driving success at branch level while developing you leadership skills. With a focus on growth, wellbeing and customer excellence. You’ll be part of a supportive, values-led business with a clear purpose:

Branch opening hours are Monday to Thursday 07.30 to 17.00 Friday 07.30 to 16.00 Sat 08.00 to 12.00 and we are flexible to consider a variety of working hours or patterns to suit your needs.
- Supporting the Branch Manager in delivering branch sales, profitability, and customer service targets
- Champion a strong health & Safety culture and ensure compliance with company standards
- Assist with people management, i.e. onboarding, training & development and absence management
- Drive performance through effective use of company systems and data insights
- Build lasting customer relationships and support sales growth strategies
- Oversee operational standards, stock, and commercial processes to maximise efficiency
- Promote our values of Decency, Passion and Pride in all interactions with stakeholders
- Prior experience of team supervision and leadership
- Knowledge of Health and Safety
- Competent in the use of IT, including but not limited to trading systems and Microsoft packages
- Strong communication skills; written, phone and face to face
- Knowledge of building materials construction market would be advantageous but not essential
- Full and clean driving license would be advantageous but not essential
