Mechanical Fitter

Job Summary

We are seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters to assemble, bolt, and align structural modular frames. In this role, you will interpret engineering drawings to build core steel chassis and integrate mechanical components for high-quality modular units.

• Frame Assembly: Bolt, rivet, and weld structural steel sections to construct heavy-duty module frames.
• Component Integration: Install mechanical brackets, supports, and sub-assemblies onto the chassis.
• Alignment & Leveling: Use precision measuring tools to ensure frames are perfectly square, level, and true to specifications.
• Technical Compliance: Work accurately from engineering blueprints, fabrication drawings, and geometric welding tolerances.

• Experience: Proven track record in mechanical fitting, structural steel assembly, or heavy fabrication.
• Blueprint Reading: Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and technical drawings.
• Tool Proficiency: Skilled with torque wrenches, grinders, drills, and overhead cranes/hoists.
• Certifications: Relevant mechanical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level
  3) and a valid CSCS card (or regional equivalent)
