We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established engineering and manufacturing business based in theColeraine area , who are looking to add an experiencedQuality Inspector to their team.
This is a hands-on role working closely with the production team to ensure fabricated and manufactured products meet the required quality, dimensional and customer standards.
The position would suit someone with previous experience inquality inspection, fabrication, welding or general engineering , who has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in getting things right.
The Role
As Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting products throughout the manufacturing process, identifying any quality issues and working with production colleagues to resolve them.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect fabricated and manufactured products to ensure they meet required quality standards.
- Carry out dimensional and visual inspections using appropriate measuring and inspection equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical information.
- Complete inspection records, reports and quality documentation accurately.
- Identify and report defects, non-conformances and quality issues.
- Work closely with production teams to investigate and resolve quality issues.
- Assist with Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement activities and help maintain high quality standards.
- Ensure finished products meet both customer and company quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate inspection and quality records.
- Communicate quality issues effectively with production and management.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in aquality inspection or manufacturing environment .
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
- The ability to read and understandengineering drawings and specifications .
- Experience using measuring and inspection equipment.
- Good IT skills, includingMicrosoft Excel .
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a busy production team.
- A practical and proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues.
Experience with infabrication, welding or engineering would be highly advantageous.
A relevantquality or engineering qualification would be desirable but is not essential. Practical experience and the right attitude will also be considered.
