Class 1 Driver

We are currently looking for Class 1 Drivers to join our General Haulage team, based out of Preston . We currently have opportunities to work on Dayshift - working either Monday to Friday, Sunday to Thursday or on Night shift working on a 4on 4off shift pattern .

* * Rates include non-taxable meal allowance of £1.00 payable per hour, payable when in attendance 4off Night shift Pattern ? Night shift Salary = £37,054.71 per annum
* * Non-taxable meal allowance of £1873 included in above salary detailed. Meal allowance is payable when in attendance ponsibilities Delivering a professional and efficient driving service within our General Haulage team, undertaking deliveries and collections of products on behalf of Wm Armstrong Group. All duties associated with being a professional driver. Loading/Unloading and securing loads. Dealing with customers face to face.

Keeping in regular contact with transport office team for updates on progress and managing customers expectations. Cross cover of work within other areas of the business as required. Requirements Hold a valid UK Class 1 licence. Hold a current DCPC card and digital tachograph card. Experience and knowledge of the general haulage industry is preferred, but not essential. Ability to work unsupervised, or as part of a wider team, and be able to use your own initiative To be successful in this role you will be a real team player, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and good geographical knowledge.
