HGV Class 1 Driver

Location: Whitacre Heath

Our client, a well-established and growing transport operation, is currently looking to recruit experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Drivers to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers seeking ongoing, full-time work with competitive rates of pay, modern vehicles and no manual handling. The role involves traction-only work, operating between fulfilment and distribution centres.

The Role

This is a tramping position requiring overnight stays throughout the working week.

Shift Pattern

5 shifts per week
Sunday start shifts
Day and night driving required

Responsibilities

Transport trailers between fulfilment and distribution centres
Complete trailer drop and swap operations
Carry out daily walk-round vehicle checks
Ensure compliance with Driver Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive
Maintain accurate digital tachograph records
Deliver a safe, professional and reliable service
Communicate effectively with transport teams and site staff
Requirements

Applicants must have:

Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
Valid Driver CPC Qualification
Digital Tachograph Card
At least 12 months' Class 1 driving experience (preferred)
No more than 6 penalty points
No DD, DR or IN endorsements
Good knowledge of UK road transport legislation
Excellent time management and communication skills
Right to work in the UK
