HGV Class 1 Driver

Our client, a well-established and growing transport operation, is currently looking to recruit experienced HGV Class 1 (CE) Tramper Drivers to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers seeking ongoing, full-time work with competitive rates of pay, modern vehicles and no manual handling. The role involves traction-only work, operating between fulfilment and distribution centres. The Role This is a tramping position requiring overnight stays throughout the working week. Shift Pattern 5 shifts per week Sunday start shifts Day and night driving required Responsibilities Transport trailers between fulfilment and distribution centres Complete trailer drop and swap operations Carry out daily walk-round vehicle checks Ensure compliance with Driver Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive Maintain accurate digital tachograph records Deliver a safe, professional and reliable service Communicate effectively with transport teams and site staff Requirements Applicants must have:
Valid UK HGV Class 1 (CE) Licence Valid Driver CPC Qualification Digital Tachograph Card At least 12 months' Class 1 driving experience (preferred) No more than 6 penalty points No DD, DR or IN endorsements Good knowledge of UK road transport legislation Excellent time management and communication skills Right to work in the UK Job Details Job Type: Full-Time, Ongoing Pay: £18.00 per hour £25 Night Out Allowance
