The Main Street Academy (TMSA) is actively recruiting educators of all experience levels, including recent graduates, for the 2026–2027 school year to provide instruction in a range of specialized subjects. Successful candidates will deliver engaging lessons, foster student growth, and ensure mastery of the Georgia Performance Standards. We are seeking educators in Art, Music, Physical Education (PE), Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE), STEAM, Agricultural Studies, Drama & Theater, and Computer Science.

- Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited university (conferred)
- Must hold or be eligible to hold a Georgia teaching certificate in the applicable field (Art, Music, PE, CTAE, Agricultural Studies, Computer Science, STEAM, Drama & Theater, or other relevant specialty area)
- Adhere to all Teacher Keys Effectiveness System (TKES) standards
- Deliver content-related and age-appropriate instruction aligned with TMSA’s curriculum programs in the designated specialty areas
- Integrate appropriate technology to enhance student learning
- Foster a positive, academically rich classroom environment that promotes student engagement and development in the specialty area
- Demonstrate knowledge of performance-based instruction and assessment techniques
- Communicate responsibly and professionally with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and school leadership
- Facilitate home–school communication through conferences, phone calls, emails, and written notes
- Collaborate with parents/guardians in all aspects of the student’s educational program
- Adhere to all SPED, SST, 504, and IEP plans and accommodations
- Prepare thoroughly for instructional responsibilities during absences
- Maintain accurate student attendance and punctuality records
- Follow all county, state, and federal policies and procedures
- Uphold professional ethics and promote a positive school culture
- Support TMSA’s goals, initiatives, programs, and processes
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Assistant Principals
- Experience collaborating with instructional teams and adapting practices to meet student and staff needs
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in using technology for instruction and communication
- Demonstrated organizational skills and initiative, with the ability to work independently
- Knowledge and experience using technology for data analysis, instructional planning, and presentations
- Working knowledge of current research, trends, and resources in content areas
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) requirements
