MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Windows Systems Administrator to join our team in College Park, Maryland
.

• Work with a small team to provide the full range of systems administration capability to dynamic researchers at the Laboratory for Physical Sciences.
• Provide support to IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices and peripherals.
• Identify, diagnose and resolve problems with Tier 1 through Tier 3 support.
• Escalate and communicate status to the organization’s management and internal customers.
• Manage and maintain Windows VMs and operating systems, including installation, configuration, integrity checks, network configuration and performance enhancements.

• 8+ years of System Administration experience.
• Proficiency in Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Hyper‑V and File and Storage Services.
• Experience with RDS‑based VDI, including user provisioning and basic performance troubleshooting.
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server administration, including mailbox management, database maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with backup and recovery platforms (Data Protection Manager or equivalent enterprise solutions).
• Strong documentation and communication skills, including maintaining runbooks and checklists.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related area.

• TS/SCI w/ FSP.

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
• Needs to install various IT devices in racks and on desktops.
• Must be able to exchange accurate information in situations involving presentations, management and customer communication.
