OpportunityThe Enterprise Communications Services 3 (ECS3) program supports our intel customer across its many operating locations. Our focus is to help the organization technically transform its current services by leading edge technology insertions. To accomplish this, we are charged with development of new designs, implementation, and operation of the new and/or enhanced services. Over the life of the contract, we will drive continual service improvement by tech modernization for LANs, WANs, Unified Communications (UC), video telecommunication and streaming services.
As a Tier 3 Network Administrator, you'll tackle complex support problems, coordinate with other NOC and operational staff, lead platform upgrades, and act as a leader on the Network team, coordinating ticket acceptance and resolutions.
- Perform system patching and IAVA patches to network routers and switches.
- Perform IOS and software upgrades.
- Create, review, and publish standard operating procedures (SOP) for network operations in the knowledge management system.
- Troubleshoot systems failures and accessibility problems within the network.
- Monitor network performance, track usage, and develop capacity‑planning reports.
- Develop and maintain IP address allocation tables.
- Recommend enhancements for operational efficiencies in network monitoring, management, and overall operations.
- Use experience and knowledge articles to understand and implement potential workarounds, update knowledge articles, and support KM management by entering solutions into the solutions database.
- Facilitate engineering design data calls.
- Lead new or enhanced network implementation, installation, and technical refresh projects within a site or locale.
- Work independently while providing leadership to the rest of the Network team.
- Perform Network ticket resolution and support ticket closure across Network OPS staff, including initial categorization of service requests, provisioning of new switches, routers, VLANs and Krypto, incident analysis, routing service requests, root‑cause analysis, and problem resolution.
- Configure, deploy, manage, and maintain network monitoring systems to ensure availability and overall performance of systems and services.
- Assist with development of network‑related implementation and deployment documentation.
- Test and evaluate network designs to determine whether customer requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
- Support development of testing aids for validating lab configurations or systems in the lab.
- Assist with testing and documentation for products, solutions, or systems being tested.
- Lead research and testing of new or modified hardware or software products to determine performance and interoperability.
- Support engineers or other staff in the design or implementation of new solutions.
- Lead validation of lab environment disaster recovery plans.
- IAT II certification
- TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain a CI polygraph
- CCNA (desired)
$90,300 – $189,600 national average for this position.
