The program, led by Peraton Labs with external infrastructure support, conducts advanced research for the customer on topics including cybersecurity, RF solutions, and quantum communications. Mission focus is on developing next‑gen tools for detecting cyber‑attacks, enhancing network resilience, and improving small‑form factor sensor systems while maintaining a focus on cutting‑edge technologies like machine learning and software‑defined networking.
AboutThe Role
Peraton Labs delivers innovative solutions and revolutionary new capabilities to solve the most difficult and complex challenges for government agencies, utilities, and commercial customers. The candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and prototyping of RF machine learning algorithms.
Qualifications- Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA;
Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA;
Minimum of 3 years with PhD
- Strong digital signal processing skills and RF domain knowledge.
- Expertise with modern machine learning development frameworks (e.g., Keras, Tensor Flow, PyTorch).
- History of conducting research in the Machine Learning and RF spectrum domains.
- This role requires 100% on‑site work out of College Park, MD or Laurel, MD.
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.
- Familiarity with common software‑defined radio platforms such as Ettus USRPs and GNU Radio is beneficial.

Target Salary Range: $176,000 - $282,000. Salary is determined by various factors including scope and responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and geographical location.
