• Prepare and deliver meals under the guidance of the Dining Services Director, ensuring nutritional, appetizing, and attractive presentation.
• Assist in maintaining a positive physical and social environment for elders.
• Help orient new team members and schedule.
• Greet elders, families, visitors, and team members, creating a friendly, positive environment.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and work areas are clean, safe, and orderly.
• Adhere to procedures regarding infection control and foodborne illness prevention.

• Formal training in the culinary arts or equivalent experience as a cook.
• Willingness to learn and work within a team environment.
• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Food handlers permit or ability to obtain one as required by state regulations.
• Good verbal communication and ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.
