Position: Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 6299)

Job Overview

Game Stop is seeking a Full Time Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in all facets of store operations, including sales, customer service, and inventory management.

Responsibilities
  • Provide best-in-class guest service, including greeting guests, responding to questions and concerns, and assisting with purchases.
  • Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships.
  • Promptly and accurately process guest purchases and returns using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
  • Respond to guest comments or questions in person or on the phone, and escalate issues to the Store Manager as needed.
  • Promote Game Stop’s unique guest benefits, such as new title reservations and trade-in programs.
  • Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates.
  • Observe associate performance, provide feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old and provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
  • At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
  • Video game knowledge preferred.
