Sponsored Research Services (SRS) provides research administration services to The Texas A&M University System. We further the research goals of the university by delivering efficient and superior service to members of the Texas A&M System research community. Through our services, SRS teams work with several stakeholders to ensure the success of research projects.
What We Do- Support faculty members in the preparation, review, and submission of research proposals.
- Interpret and effectively communicate sponsor guidelines to ensure compliance with all requirements.
- Budget preparation and compliance verification with sponsor regulations and Texas A&M University System Member policies.
- Coordinate and compile proposal materials in collaboration with internal and external collaborators.
- Ensure accurate final proposal preparation, review, and submission while adhering to strict deadlines.

Compensation will be commensurate with the selected hire’s experience. A cover letter and resume are strongly recommended. SRS offices are located in College Station, Texas. On‑site, hybrid, and remote possibilities will be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.
QualificationsRequired
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
- Experience in pre‑award sponsored research administration.
- Experience in research administration within the A&M System or other university setting.
- Knowledge of Federal grant and contract regulations and practical application of current research administration issues.
- Experience providing customer service.
- Experience developing budgets.
- Process, analyze, reconcile, and submit billing for standard research projects. Review billing requirements, prepare quarterly and annual reports, monitor standard awards, and ensure compliance with policies, federal and state regulations, and sponsor requirements.
- Process, administer, and submit standard research proposal and budget documents that comply with sponsor guidelines, Federal Cost Accounting Standards, and Texas A&M University System member policies.
- Coordinate with researchers and leadership to resolve proposal and project issues and provide information as requested.
- Coordinate with sponsors to address questions to ensure accurate proposal submissions and post‑award management.
- Oversee project management. Prepare and submit standard proposals, quarterly and annual reports.
- Review standard proposal solicitations and award requirements.
- Create accounts and track deliverables in award management system.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, federal and state regulations, and sponsor requirements.
- Serve as a liaison with system members to communicate standard operating procedures.
