The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University, invites applications for three full-time, tenure‑track or tenure‑review upon hire, Assistant or Associate Professor-level positions with a nine‑month academic appointment, and the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon the need and availability of funds, beginning fall of 2026. Areas of interest include but are not limited to Autonomous and Cyber‑Physical Systems, Data Science, Embodied AI, Information Retrieval, Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining, Natural Language Processing, and Robotics.

Strong candidates in multi‑disciplinary or emerging areas of computing are also encouraged to apply.

The successful applicant will be required to teach, advise, and mentor graduate and undergraduate students; develop and maintain an independent, externally funded research program; participate in all aspects of the department’s activities; and serve the profession. Applicants must have earned a doctorate in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related field. Candidates who have completed all Ph.D. requirements except the dissertation will be considered, provided they demonstrate clear progress towards completion.
