The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, financial and administrative expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with faculty, fellows, university leaders, and donors. This individual will play a key role in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, fundraising efforts, financial oversight, and communicating the Institute’s impact to internal and external audiences.

Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience.

This position allows alternate work location per TAMU guidelines.

Work beyond normal office hours and/or on weekends.

Travel may be required.

Qualifications Required

Education and Experience Doctoral degree in a STEM field, Finance, or Economics.

Eight years of related experience in management.

Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field, Finance, or Economics.

Record of peer-reviewed published scholarship.
10 years or more of experience that includes service as a tenured professor with department head or higher-level administrative and leadership experience.

Experience in management and leadership of a significant organization, including responsibility for multimillion dollar budgets.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Commanding verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to effectively communicate with Texas A&M faculty, staff, students, Hagler Institute Fellows, and potential donors.

Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

Knowledge of management development programs and implementation, budget oversight, and strategic planning.

Effective analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
