Join Plug and Play Tech Center as a Ventures Associate focused on the Aerospace & Defense vertical. In this role you will source start‑ups, support investment decisions, drive market research, and partner with corporate clients.

Plug and Play is an innovation platform that connects startups with world‑class corporations and investors. With 45+ locations worldwide, we run accelerator programs and investments across multiple verticals, including aerospace and defense.

• Source pre‑seed, seed and Series A start‑ups for investment and for Plug & Play’s accelerator program.
• Evaluate technology and industry fit, assessing the most promising ideas within aerospace & defense.
• Represent Plug & Play at industry events, networking with founders, investors, corporates, universities and government partners.
• Mentor program start‑ups on product market fit, fundraising and scaling.
• Conduct market and technology research to identify trends, new markets and emerging tech.
• Support the investment team with deal sourcing, due diligence and financial modeling.
• Leverage your network of VCs and industry experts to accelerate portfolio growth.

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (e.g., Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry).
• Minimum 2 years in a start‑up environment or venture capital.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑moving environment.
• Organized and detail‑oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

• Background in aerospace engineering or advanced manufacturing.
• Experience in a defense contractor or military organization.
• Established network within the aerospace & defense community.
• Alumni status from Texas A&M University.
