Join Binkley Barfield | DCCM as a Drainage Engineer – Transportation in a full‑time position. You will support transportation and public works projects across Texas, designing and analyzing complex drainage systems for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and municipal clients.

The role requires a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas, 4–6 years of experience in drainage engineering, and proficiency in Open Roads Designer (ORD) is preferred.
What You Will Do- Design and develop drainage systems for transportation and municipal projects.
- Collaborate with TxDOT and municipal clients to ensure project requirements are met.
- Utilize Open Roads Designer (ORD) for designing and modeling drainage systems.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support project designs.
- Prepare and review engineering reports, plans, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams.
- Participate in project meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Perform site visits and inspections as needed.
You are a critical thinker with excellent analysis and problem‑solving abilities. You excel in oral and written communication, possess strong listening skills, and are proficient in computer applications. What You Bring- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas (required).
- 4–6 years of experience in drainage engineering with TxDOT and municipal clients.
- Drainage experience required; experience with water, sewer, and pipeline projects is a plus.
- Proficiency in Open Roads Designer (ORD) preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TxDOT drainage criteria and procedures, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC‑HMS, HEC‑RAS, HY‑8).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Detail‑oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
