Senior Electrical Engineer – Substation Design

Multiple U.S. Locations (Hybrid | 3 days office / 2 days remote)

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with strong expertise in substation design to join a leading global engineering and infrastructure consultancy. This role offers the chance to lead complex projects in transmission and distribution, while mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence.

• Act as a technical specialist or lead engineer on substation projects (distribution, sub‑transmission, and transmission).
• Develop deliverables including protection & control (P&C) and physical substation design
  .
• Lead QA/QC efforts, mentor junior engineers, and guide project execution.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Apply advanced engineering techniques, oversee project budgets, schedules, and quality standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• 8+ years of substation design experience (P&C and/or physical).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or in pursuit).
• Proven track record in QA/QC, project leadership, and client coordination.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE/ANSI standards, and advanced engineering practices.
