Nurse Supervisor

Department: TCP University Pediatric Assoc

Shift: Monday-Friday

We are searching for a Nurse Supervisor for our University Pediatrics Associates location
, someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will supervise and direct clinical staff and gather information, assess, and provide direct care to patients.

• Supervise and direct clinical staff and gather information, assess, and provide direct care to patients
• Supervises and evaluates clinical staff to ensure an optimal level of job performance for the consistent delivery of safe, high-quality patient care and customer service
• Directs clinical staff in the provision of patient care, maintaining professional nursing standards and adhering to TCP policies, procedures, and recommendations
• Provides general patient care. Prepares patient for examination per practice protocol
• Assists provider, as directed, during treatments, examinations, and testing within the scope of the position
• Assists with the collection of patient/family data, including biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, and environmental information per practice protocol
• Administers medication as directed by provider per practice protocol
• Supports patients/families in self-management of their health through education and instructions by the provider or practice protocol
• Triages patients, presenting complaints per practice protocol, using electronic health records for documentation
• Demonstrates Creating SMILES and AIDET philosophies to patients, families, and co-workers
• Collects specimens and performs laboratory tests, verifying provider order and patient per practice protocol
• Coordinates referrals, assessing patient eligibility and verifying coverage with payer prior to initiation

• Required Diploma in Nursing and Associate's Degree in Nursing or an associate’s degree in a related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing for the purposes of obtaining and maintaining an RN license, with a preferred Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Licenses/Certifications:
  
  RN - Lic-Registered Nurses by the Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing Licensure Compact; BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association; PALS - Cert-PALS by the American Heart Association
• Required 1 year of experience as a staff and 1 year of experience as an LVN, with a preferred 1 year of supervisory experience
