The Occupational Therapist I plans, organizes, and provides services in therapeutic programs. Clinical practice includes evaluation and therapy planning to help rehabilitate individuals with disabilities. Works closely with patients and families to meet treatment goals.
Essential Functions OfThe Role
- Evaluates, treats and monitors patients. Modifies therapy program and goals.
- Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team. Provides education to patients, family, and staff.
- Supervises ancillary staff, students, and volunteers.
- Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence‑based practice.
- Imparts knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues. Adheres to organizational, national and state regulatory guidelines.
- Maintains awareness of system goals. Aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals.
- Must possess problem‑solving skills at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
- Must have good communication skills. Relate professionally and positively to patients, their family members, and facility staff.
- Exhibits proven synergy and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team. Assures excellent customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.
- Possesses proficient computer knowledge; operates multiple computer systems and standard rehabilitation equipment.
- High attention to detail in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a high level of productivity.

Qualifications- Education:
Master’s or Bachelor’s plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification. - Experience:
Less than 1 year of experience. - Certification/Licensure/Registration:
Occupational Therapist (OT);
Basic Life Support (BLS) or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
