Paramedic – City Ambulance Service

. The position is fully remote and requires working on the road to transport patients to healthcare facilities. This is a full‑time opportunity.

Pay & Schedule

Base pay: $23.00/hr – $28.00/hr full‑time rotating schedule (48 ON/96 OFF or 24 ON/48 OFF or Kelly schedule, subject to change). Each round pays $77,096 – $93,856 per year depending on experience. Paramedics can earn $105,248 – $128,128 per year by working 72 hours/week with no cap on overtime.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to calls for emergency and non‑emergency transports.
  • Assess a patient’s condition and determine a course of treatment per local protocol.
  • Provide first‑aid treatment and/or advanced level life support to patients.
  • Clearly explain procedures to patients, give orders, and relay information to others.
  • Transport patients safely in an ambulance.
  • Transfer patients to the hospital or other healthcare facilities.
  • Report observations and treatment to physicians or other healthcare facility staff.
  • Document medical care promptly and effectively.
  • Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment after use.
  • Maintain and clean crew quarters, ambulance, and station locations daily.
Qualifications
  • Ability to sit, bend and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to waist level.
  • Ability to coordinate activities closely with others in stressful situations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written English.
  • Ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations/job duties.
  • Experience with MICU level transports including IV Pump / Ventilator / Cardiac Monitoring.
  • State of Texas (or other compact state) Paramedic license required.
  • Preferable 2 years experience in Emergency Medical Services.
