Texas A&M University is seeking Human Resources Generalists II and III to support a people-first, service-oriented HR environment on our campus in College Station, Texas. These roles provide professional human resources support to departments across the university, ensuring efficient and compliant HR operations while delivering exceptional customer service.

As an HR Generalist, you will partner with employees, managers, and departmental representatives to support a wide range of HR functions, including personnel transactions, policy interpretation, leave administration, position management, performance management, and employee support services. Depending on the level, opportunities may include serving as a subject matter expert, mentoring team members, and handling increasingly complex HR matters.

What we want

We are recruiting for all levels of HR Generalists, however, our immediate needs are for HR Generalists II and III positions. Minimum qualifications for an HR Generalist II:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and one full year of HR Generalist related experience.

Minimum qualifications for an HR Generalist III:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and three full years of HR Generalist related experience.

Ideal candidates will have:

A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field

Solid experience as an HR Generalist Familiarity with Workday or similar Human Capital Management (HCM) systems

Minimum qualifications for an HR Generalist I:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and no prior HR Generalist experience required.

Minimum qualification for an HR Generalist IV:  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and five full years of HR Generalist related experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Ability to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff, groups of various sizes.  Knowledge of HR concepts, principles, and practices.  Knowledge of Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
