Family Nurse Practitioner, Per Diem
- College Station, TX

We are looking for a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant to add to our team of Advanced Practitioners in College Station, TX! The Advanced Practitioner is responsible for overseeing the infusion care provided by nurses in the physician-based ambulatory infusion center. This role involves creating and maintaining care plans for all patients referred to the center. The Advanced Practitioner supports the nurses administering the infusions and evaluates patients’ needs during these procedures as necessary.

Acting as the primary clinical liaison between the referring physician’s office and the infusion center. The Advanced Practitioner delivers safe, effective, and compassionate care in accordance with State and Federal regulations, as well as Company policies, procedures, and guidelines, all within their scope of practice.

Compensation: Pay Range: $55.00 - $60.00 / hr.
Benefits Offered: 401K with Match up to 4% Employee Referral Bonus - Varies by position referred Employment Type & Schedule, FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Clinical Operations Manager Primary duties and responsibilities:
  • Reviews and evaluates clinical information provided by referring physician offices and admits appropriate patients for infusion.
  • Evaluates newly referred patients and develops initial plans of care.
  • Monitors plans of care and makes necessary changes
  • Performs pertinent physicals exams with assessment of normal and abnormal findings on new patients and confirms suitability for infusion.
  • Reviews all lab reports provided by the referring physician.
  • Requests diagnostic and lab studies of the referring physician upon evaluation of the patient as needed.
  • Recognizes situations which require the immediate attention of a physician and initiates life‑saving procedures when necessary.
  • Consults with the supervising Medical Director as is necessary.
  • Documents infusion orders in the electronic medical record.
  • Dictates or documents notes in the electronic medical record.
Additional duties and responsibilities:
  • Promotes company quality outcome initiatives.
  • Delegates responsibilities to staff nurses on duty.
  • Follows company policies and CDC guidelines for infection control.
  • Carries out all duties in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provides patient education and answers questions from prospective patients and referring physicians.
  • Enforces all HIPAA compliance guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant in the state in which service is provided.
  • Must be Family Nurse Practitioner to be able to work with patients under 18 years old.
  • Must have current DEA license.
  • Rheumatology and/or infusion experience preferred, but not required.
  • 1-3 years in a clinic setting preferred.
  • Must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service skills to identify and address patient needs
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently to deliver key results
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and high degree of professional ethic, knowledge of confidential and regulatory compliance practices.
