Vivo Infusion® is seeking a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant to join our Advanced Practitioner team in College Station, TX. The Advanced Practitioner oversees infusion care provided by nurses, creates and maintains care plans for all patients referred to the center, supports nurses administering infusions, evaluates patients’ needs during procedures, and serves as the primary clinical liaison between referring physician offices and the infusion center.
The Advanced Practitioner delivers safe, effective, and compassionate care in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies, procedures, and guidelines, all within scope of practice.
- Pay Range: $55.00 – $60.00 per hour
- 401(k) with match up to 4%

Primary Duties And Responsibilities- Reviews and evaluates clinical information provided by referring physician offices and admits appropriate patients for infusion.
- Evaluates newly referred patients and develops initial plans of care.
- Monitors plans of care and makes necessary changes.
- Performs pertinent physical exams with assessment of normal and abnormal findings on new patients and confirms suitability for infusion.
- Reviews all lab reports provided by the referring physician.
- Requests diagnostic and lab studies of the referring physician upon evaluation of the patient as needed.
- Recognizes situations which require immediate attention of a physician and initiates life‑saving procedures when necessary.
- Consults with the supervising Medical Director as is necessary.
- Documents infusion orders in the electronic medical record.
- Dictates or documents notes in the electronic medical record.
- Promotes company quality outcome initiatives.
- Delegates responsibilities to staff nurses on duty.
- Follows company policies and CDC guidelines for infection control.
- Carries out all duties in a professional and courteous manner.
- Provides patient education and answers questions from prospective patients and referring physicians.
- Enforces all HIPAA compliance guidelines.
- Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant in the state in which service is provided.
- Family Nurse Practitioner license to work with patients under 18 years old.
- Current DEA license.
- Rheumatology and/or infusion experience preferred, but not required.
- 1–3 years in a clinic setting preferred.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service skills to identify and address patient needs.
- Intermediate computer skills, MS Office.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently to deliver key results.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and high degree of professional ethic, knowledge of confidential and regulatory compliance practices.
