* ** Patient Care and Clinical Support:
** Assist in the care, treatment, and monitoring of animal patients. Administer medications, fluids, and emergency/life-sustaining care as directed. Collect and document patient medical histories and clinical observations. Support diagnostic evaluations and pain assessments.
* ** Technical and Diagnostic Procedures:
** Perform or assist with laboratory tests and sample collection (blood, urine, tissue). Operate and maintain medical and monitoring equipment. Support anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery processes. Ensure accurate documentation of procedures and treatments.
* ** Instruction and Mentorship:
** Instruct and guide veterinary students, interns, and residents in clinical techniques. Provide mentorship to junior staff and assist in training efforts. Support clinical teaching and research activities, including data collection and recordkeeping.
* ** Equipment and Facility Maintenance:
** Clean, sterilize, and maintain instruments and clinical areas. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of medical equipment. Ensure compliance with sanitation and infection control protocols.
* ** Inventory and Supply Management:
** Monitor and replenish medical supplies, drugs, and equipment. Maintain inventory control and ensure proper storage and labeling. Coordinate with pharmacy and central supply for restocking.
* ** Administrative and Compliance Duties:
** Maintain accurate and complete medical records and billing entries. Ensure adherence to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Participate in accreditation, inspection, and compliance activities.
