Heartland Veterinary Partners is looking for a Managing Veterinarian. Our well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital located in College Station provides comprehensive care with ultrasound, digital radiology, dental radiology, endoscopy, and more.
Position PurposeWe welcome an experienced veterinarian ready to step into a leadership role as our Managing Veterinarian (MDVM). You will lead our close-knit, upbeat team, guiding practice standards and driving growth.

Qualifications & Experience- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
- Appropriate state licensure and eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; assistance for heavier loads.
- Solid clinical experience and interest in mentoring and managing medical quality.
- Leadership qualities: motivation, team orientation, confidence in decision‑making, and passion for driving growth.
- Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
- Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results.
- Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
- Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
- Provide counsel around pet end‑of‑life care.
- Maintain patients’ medical records.
- Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, statutes, policies, and procedures.
