Managing Veterinarian | Highway 30 Vet Clinic

Heartland Veterinary Partners is looking for a Managing Veterinarian. Our well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital located in College Station provides comprehensive care with ultrasound, digital radiology, dental radiology, endoscopy, and more.

Position Purpose

We welcome an experienced veterinarian ready to step into a leadership role as our Managing Veterinarian (MDVM). You will lead our close-knit, upbeat team, guiding practice standards and driving growth.

Qualifications & Experience
  • DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure and eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; assistance for heavier loads.
  • Solid clinical experience and interest in mentoring and managing medical quality.
  • Leadership qualities: motivation, team orientation, confidence in decision‑making, and passion for driving growth.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end‑of‑life care.
  • Maintain patients’ medical records.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, statutes, policies, and procedures.
