* * Job Description
** The Technician II, under general supervision, evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering or scientific techniques used in research or support laboratories.
** Responsibilities:*
* -Independently pursues an assigned series of processes, procedures, or area of research in accordance with general approved plans and procedures
-Plans and executes procedures and work details
-Evaluates and analyzes results
-Constructs, modifies, adapts, assembles, and operates scientific and laboratory apparatus and equipment
-Uses computer equipment for controlling equipment and compiling data
-Makes and records observations and measurements
-Summarizes and evaluates data for scientific materials requiring academic knowledge
-Research and catalog reference materials requiring understanding of subject matter theory
-Plans and supervises technical operations-Assist with the collection, processing, and archiving of plant, soil, and water samples related to ongoing research projects-Collect, transcribe, and organize data from the various measurements of research samples-Other duties as required.

Education and Experience:

* -High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Three years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
**-Knowledge of laboratory equipment, scientific apparatus, and computer equipment.
-Ability to ensure attention to detail.
-Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
