DepartmentFAES | Center for Lake Erie Area Research-JM
Responsibilities- Work with the Stone Lab Research Coordinator and visiting professors on a research project focused on environmental issues affecting the Lake Erie region.
- Review relevant literature related to the research project.
- Conduct research activities, which may include sample collection aboard Stone Laboratory research boats on Lake Erie, hiking in forests and meadows, or other outdoor environments.
- Handle chemicals or vertebrates as required by the research project.
- Conduct data analysis and report writing.
- Attend weekly program meetings.
- Present oral findings at the end of the program.
- Maintain a clean laboratory and follow laboratory safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
A current college student who will not graduate before July 2026, majors in biology, ecology, environmental science, engineering, or a similar field.
Valid driver's license required.
