FAES | Center for Lake Erie Area Research-JM

• Work with the Stone Lab Research Coordinator and visiting professors on a research project focused on environmental issues affecting the Lake Erie region.
• Review relevant literature related to the research project.
• Conduct research activities, which may include sample collection aboard Stone Laboratory research boats on Lake Erie, hiking in forests and meadows, or other outdoor environments.
• Handle chemicals or vertebrates as required by the research project.
• Conduct data analysis and report writing.
• Attend weekly program meetings.
• Present oral findings at the end of the program.
• Maintain a clean laboratory and follow laboratory safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

A current college student who will not graduate before July 2026, majors in biology, ecology, environmental science, engineering, or a similar field.

Valid driver's license required.
