Structured Cabling Lead Technician

Based out of College Station, this well-established technology integration and network cabling firm has been serving Texas businesses for more than 35 years. With branch offices in Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, and Austin, they deliver turnkey low-voltage solutions for multi-building network, audio-visual, and security system installations. Their portfolio spans diverse markets, including education, healthcare, government, industrial, commercial, and financial sectors.

• Lead and oversee installation of structured cabling systems (CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A, fiber optic) for commercial projects, ensuring work meets industry standards and project specifications.
• Plan cable pathways, manage crew assignments, and coordinate daily workflow, including pulling cable, terminating jacks, patch panels, and performing testing and certification.
• Supervise and train helpers and junior-level technicians, providing direction, skill development, and quality checks throughout project tasks.
• Install and manage telecom rooms, ladder racks, cable trays, racks, patch panels, network hardware, and grounding/bonding systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and scope documents while troubleshooting and resolving connectivity issues, maintaining communication with project managers and customers.

• 5 + years of experience installing structured cabling.
• Must have a Valid Driver s License and own transportation.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
