# Mechanic Hot Job COLLEGE STATION, TX 77845## Overview Position Type Full Time## Description Brazos Valley Flight Services is a growing flight school dedicated to providing safe, high-quality flight training. We operate a fleet of well-maintained Cessna 172s and 182RG and are looking for a skilled, safety-minded Aircraft Mechanic to join our team and help support our expanding operations.
** Position Summary
** The Aircraft Mechanic will be responsible for performing inspection, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on our aircraft. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and airworthiness.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Perform routine and non-routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on piston-engine aircraft
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues
* Conduct 100-hour and annual inspections in accordance with FAA regulations
* Complete logbook entries, work orders, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
* Ensure all maintenance is performed in compliance with company and FAA requirements
* Coordinate with maintenance associates, flight school management, flight instructors, and office staff on aircraft status, scheduled downtime, and urgent repairs
* Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment
* Assist with parts ordering, inventory management, and tracking of maintenance items
* Support fleet reliability and minimize aircraft downtime
** Qualifications
* ** Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required
* Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in hangar/flightline environments
* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Inspection Authorization (IA) Certificate
* 2+ years of relevant GA aircraft maintenance experience
