Job DetailsJob Summary:
A Trip Coordinator is an hourly, non-exempt employee who, under the supervision of a manager, is responsible for scheduling drivers for trips and extra‑curricular activities of students for our clients.
Duties/Responsibilities- Follow company policies regarding pupil/client management and relations with parents, teachers, guardians, and the public in general.
- Pricing of trips and confirming with clients.
- Writing up trip sheets with description of trip, directions, pick up and drop off times and locations.
- Conduct trip meetings and assign trips to drivers.
- Keep records and submit reports as required. This includes all documentation for complaints, accidents, routing changes, etc.
- Assist with monthly billing.
- Responsible for carrying out all STA policies and State & Federal applicable regulation.
- Knowledge and implementation of contents of School District contracts.
- Assist in answering phones and two‑way company radios.
- Responsible for routing. Includes resolving routing issues, developing routes for trips, maintaining files with information regarding pickup/drop off times, addresses, and phone numbers.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to deal with problems and find solutions.
- Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organization and time management skills, and ability to complete work accurately within given deadlines. Ability to schedule and set priorities for work to be accomplished.
- Willingness to learn new software programs as needed in a timely manner.
- Ability to perform work accurately, thoroughly, and quickly within time frames allowed.
- Have or have the ability to obtain and maintain a School Bus CDL License.
- Must have knowledge of Federal and State regulations.
- Attach work on a regular and dependable basis.
- Ability to successfully pass state and/or federal required Background Checks.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Ability to comply with all policies and procedures established by company.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
