Job SummaryResponsible for the quality, quantity, and timeliness of that day's meal production. The cook prepares food in accordance with Parkhurst recipes, standards, and procedures under strict sanitary conditions.
Essential Functions- Prepare food according to Parkhurst recipes and enforce the “batch” cooking method.
- Ensure food quality and maintain quality and quantity throughout service, using production sheets.
- Ensure proper line presentation: use correct pans, garnish properly, use appropriate utensils, and keep food products at the correct serving temperatures per recipes or management.
- Maintain open lines of communication with other associates, e.g., line servers, about food items daily.
- Complete daily production sheets.
- Ensure all food items are properly stored and dated.
- Follow all HACCP guidelines for utilizing leftovers.
- Adhere to cleaning schedule using “clean as you go” techniques.
- Communicate with management regarding product and supply needs.
- Follow uniform dress code and proper personal hygiene.
- Follow all Parkhurst Gold Standards and use Smile Plus hospitality imperatives.
- Assist fellow team members whenever possible.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
- Standing and/or walking 100% of the time.
- Occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs.
