Location: Collierville, TN
Work Schedule: Hybrid (2 days onsite Tuesday & Wednesday)
Duration: 3-4 months (Contract)
Job Summary
The Accounting Associate 3 is responsible for computing, classifying, and recording numerical and financial data to ensure accurate and complete financial records. This role supports accounting operations through data entry, reconciliation, billing, and financial reporting while adhering to established procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with accounting systems and computer-based tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data using journals, ledgers, spreadsheets, and accounting systems.
- Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and financial reports in accordance with established procedures.
- Debit, credit, and reconcile accounts using computer spreadsheets, databases, and specialized accounting software.
- Review figures, postings, and financial documents for accuracy, proper coding, and mathematical correctness.
- Maintain organized financial records and support audits or reviews as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company accounting policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams while managing assigned tasks independently.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Solid understanding of accounting and mathematical principles.
- Knowledge of applicable accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point , as well as accounting software.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or related financial discipline preferred.
- 5–7 years of financial and/or accounting experience required.
