Overview
Join the Compliance Specialist role at Ingerman
. The position ensures compliance across LIHTC, HUD, Public Housing, HOME, and other regulatory agencies. Deliver accurate, high‑quality work and maintain strong knowledge of program requirements.
- Deliver consistent, accurate, high‑quality work that meets or exceeds regulatory agency expectations.
- Maintain strong knowledge of program requirements and protocols.
- Build professional, mutually beneficial relationships with state agencies, contract administrators, colleagues, internal customers and key stakeholders.
- Respond to contacts in a timely and proficient manner.
- High school diploma or GED required;
Associate or Bachelor degree preferred. - Rural Development experience required.
- HCCP, TCS, SHCM or similar LIHTC certification required; HUD‑COS certification a plus.
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Compliance Specialist, Occupancy Specialist or Affordable Housing Property Manager with hands‑on compliance experience.
- Prior experience with lease‑ups, initial and ongoing investor audits and state agency audits.
- Prior experience preparing and submitting Section 8 vouchers via TRACS 202D, troubleshooting issues/errors via HUD Secure System and the MAT guide, and good working knowledge of EIV a plus.
- Experience preparing Annual Owner’s Certifications and all related report preparation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced customer service and problem‑solving skills.
- Advanced organizational and time‑management skills; work well independently and with others.
- Technically proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced, action‑oriented environment.
- Ability to establish relationships across the organization and at various hierarchical levels.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to conduct how‑to training on certification/recertification processes, application process, compliance workflow in Yardi and other compliance policies and procedures.
