Responsibilities
  • Develop additional or alternate sources of supply for important materials (secondary vendors).
  • Handle negotiations with suppliers on all conflicts or questions on prices, deliveries, and specifications.
  • Maintain necessary records and documents.
  • Maintain all invoices and packing slips.
  • Supervise and verify receipt of material or services and check the correctness of unit prices and extensions.
  • Maintain all confidential information in an appropriate manner.
  • Reconcile open purchase orders for weekly files.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate files.
  • Work with Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel.
  • Order parts as needed to clarify purchase requisitions, coordinate equipment modifications and prices.
  • Have familiarity with food processing and packaging equipment in a general sense.
  • Perform other duties and assignments from time to time when directed by management.
Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to deal with outside vendors in an effective and professional manner.
  • Understanding and ability to work with maintenance parts manuals.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of computerized maintenance programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective communication with all maintenance personnel, operations management, and supervisors to inform them of the progress of repairs and parts or material.
Education and Training
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • College degree preferred but not required.
Related Experience / Requirements
  • Must speak, write, and read English.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform the following physical activities: work requires lifting up to 50 lbs. Must be able to step, climb, balance, squat, kneel, bend, and reach above shoulders as needed. Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment.

Rate

$30.00-$33.00 per hour.
