Position: Class B Fitter / Welder – Collinsville, OK Facility
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Under supervision, assist in the planned daily activities.
  • Participate in pre and post planned readiness of parts and tools, for planned fit up and welding activities.
  • If applicable job scope to encompass welding in the following process if directed by departmental foreman/supervisor (FCAW, GMAW).
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine welding specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools.
  • Responsible for quality and continuous improvement within job scope.
  • Responsible for all actions/responsibilities as required by the departmental foreman.
  • Responsible for following safety protocols and supporting 5S procedures.
  • Ability to work overtime/weekends as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • (3) years of manufacturing experience in fitting/welding related functions.
  • Complete 3G test.
  • Complete understanding of ASME code requirements.
  • Certified according to ASME code.
  • Complete understanding of departmental operating procedures as well as job task procedures.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Mathematically inclined.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to read/interpret measuring devices (e.g. measuring tape).
  • Ability to use numerous hand tools (POWERED AND MANUAL).
  • Able to attend training courses as assigned.
  • Ability to work overtime/weekend as needed.
  • Welding test and fitter test is required prior to hire (Test provided by the company).
  • Gouging experience is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment for this position does include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, moving mechanical parts, and working on confined space and elevated work spaces.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to stand 10 or more hours per day and operate a variety of hand tools both powered and manual.
  • Position requires standing or walking most of the workday and frequently involves stooping and kneeling.
  • Must possess sufficient visual acuity and depth perception to complete job tasks.
  • Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with confined space entry and industrial boiler manufacturing and apply appropriate safety equipment when required.
  • Must be able to lift/maneuver 75lbs. unassisted using proper safety techniques and/or equipment.
